The National Academy of Sciences hosts the Water Supply Systems and Wildfires: Water Science and Technology Board (WSTB) Spring 2025 Meeting. This event examines the effects of wildfires on water supply systems, including the contamination of drinking water treatment and distribution systems, the impacts on stormwater and drinking water for downstream communities, and the policies and programs aimed at enhancing wildfire response and recovery for water supplies.
