ClimaTwin Expands Flood Intelligence and Asset Analysis for Climate Business Decisions

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

September platform update adds flood depth by return period, expands hazard mapping and strengthens reporting and AI-assisted asset analysis

BOSTON, Oct. 5, 2026 — ClimaTwin introduces new flood analysis, mapping and asset management capabilities in its September 2026 platform update. The enhancements strengthen ClimaTwin’s Climate Business Intelligence™ platform, helping infrastructure owners, asset managers and institutional investors bring more detailed climate information into operational reviews, capital planning and investment discussions.

The update combines expanded flood measurements with improved asset workflows, PDF reporting, and AI-assisted analysis. These capabilities support the practical work of reviewing climate exposure, organizing findings, and communicating information across technical, operational, and financial teams.

More Detailed Flood Information for Asset Planning

ClimaTwin now reports riverine, coastal, and combined flood depth for 10-, 100-, 500-, and 1,000-year return periods. Users gain additional detail for comparing modeled flood conditions when evaluating asset exposure and adaptation priorities.

The expanded reporting helps teams examine flood depth across multiple return periods and bring that information into discussions about infrastructure resilience, capital allocation and potential business disruption.

Expanded Maps for Reviewing Climate Hazards

A full-width map gives users more space to examine assets and climate hazard layers. A new selection tool brings hazard layers and model dates into one workflow, with storm and flood layers grouped for easier navigation.

These improvements help teams explore climate information in its geographic context and move between relevant layers during asset reviews.

Consistent Assessment Rules Across Assets

Updated rule management helps teams maintain consistency between individual assets and projects. Users create rules within existing groups and keep assets aligned with project-level rules. Rule group counts now include assets that inherit those settings, providing a clearer view of their application.

Asset entry also becomes more straightforward. Users add assets from list, grid, or map views, and newly added assets appear immediately. Improved address lookup supports both selected address suggestions and manually entered addresses.

More Reliable Reports and Asset-Specific AI Assistance

PDF reporting improvements address larger reports and shorten preparation time, supporting the delivery of assessment materials for clients, advisers and other stakeholders.

The AI assistant now receives details and climate risk information for the asset under review. This context keeps assistance focused on that asset and supports more relevant questions during analysis and report preparation.
