Digital Twin Consortium on Infrastructure Lifecycle – A Case for Change

The Digital Twin Consortium (DTC) releases a new technical brief “Infrastructure Lifecycle: A Case for Change,” authored by Salla Eckhardt, Richard Ferris, Steve Holzer, and John Turner, and sponsored by the DTC Infrastructure Working Group.

The technical brief addresses the need to reimagine the infrastructure lifecycle in the context of digital transformation — developing new processes to unlock the benefits of digital twins, versus using existing processes.

In the paper, the authors discuss iterations of advanced lifecycle models, addressing the unique characteristics of digital twins. In conclusion, the authors propose a multi-phased model for further discussion and iteration.
