Climate Change Showcase Explores Climate Research in Plain Language

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Climate Change Showcase “explores a selection of ASCE research relating to climate change and global warming, explained in plain language by science writers.” Hosted on the Kudos platform for researchers and publishers, the showcase includes excerpts from ASCE and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) journals such as the ASCE Journal of Civil Engineering Education, ASCE Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management, ASCE-ASME Journal of Risk and Uncertainty in Engineering Systems, and ASCE Journal of Hydrologic Engineering:

  • Training our engineers to reduce environmental impact
  • Climate change creates new risks to dam safety
  • Considering climate change in a new framework to evaluate structural aging
  • Considering climate change to develop safer infrastructure
